Fresh local Game Birds

Availability From Thursday October 14th through to 31st January 2022

During the shooting season we can offer the whole partridge oven ready or untouched (in feather) for those who prefer to pluck their own or need them as nature intended, for photography, for example. A partridge is smaller than a pheasant has a moist texture and mild flavour and only serves one person. It is juicier than a pheasant and a brace is ideal for a romantic meal for 2. Each bird weighs approximately 275g each.

We are happy to supply a recipe card for any game bird novices.

A delicious mix of grey squirrel and rabbit with girolle mushrooms baked in a beef suet shortcrust pastry. Approximately 450g. Can be enjoyed hot or cold
