Back in March we were asked if we would like to be part of a new invite only restaurant Guide. It is called the Great Game Guide and includes specialist game recipe and specialist chefs that have a good understanding at producing game and encouraging eating more game that do it well. We were delighted Jimmy was asked to be included and it didn’t take us a millisecond to say yes please count us in. It’s a great little guide that offers lots of information around the listed companies or restaurants that supply or produce in this field.
Jimmy was invited to do a demonstration at the Game Fair this year to help launch the guide and we travelled down to Warwick on a hot day with our son Charlie in tow so Jimmy could demonstrate cooking with squirrel. It was well received and he had a great audience watching him cook Smoky Poached leg of grey squirrel, squirrel boudin with hazel nuts and girolles. Charlie really enjoyed the day especially his taster at archery and that he was brave enough to do the helter skelter.
