Front of House Team Member

The Kings Arms Inn is a small family run, award winning, traditional village country restaurant/pub with 8 accommodation rooms. We deliver a professional and very high standard of product and service that we pride ourselves on.

We are looking for a new member to come and join our small friendly team in a Front of House Role. The role means you will be doing a wide variety of duties, from waiting on tables, serving behind our bar, cleaning, customer service. Due to the nature of the job, you must be over 18 years old.

The right candidate, must have a good working ethic, be reliable and have a can-do attitude. Have a happy and welcoming demeanor. You are will be a key part of the business as you are often the first person a customer speaks to or sees, so you must be able to work to a high standard that we have worked 18 years to gain and maintain. Therefore, you must have good communication skills both written and verbal as you will be conversing with our customers face to face, over the phone and via written correspondence. You will need to have a high hygiene standard and be able to work in a team environment. We need someone who is happy to step up in a moment of need and be willing to muck in if needed. A good sense of humor always helps in this line of work.

We will consider on the job training qualifications if you are looking to progress in the hospitality sector or are already.

The role is shift work hours and you will be required to work, mornings, evenings weekends, and holidays. You get 1 and a half clear days off with other part days through the week.

The role is for a minimum of 30 hours per week, but potentially 40 plus. Paid at the end of every month with any overtime owed. The tips are good to excellent and are distribute among all our team equally in relation to the hours you work per week. Potential to grow this position further and become a part of the management team or a team leader.

Due to our location, it is imperative that you have your own transport as the village does not have regular public transport.

We are looking for someone to commit to the role for a prolonged period and not just for a season. Therefore, this is not a for a student’s looking for holiday work through the summer.
